BuzzBadge To BitTyrant - Better Download Speed!

I know this will interest you. Many of us are BitTorrent fans. Downloading torrent is addictive. Ok. I have been using quite some bittorrent client now. The best I found was Azureus, an open source bittorrent client which is fast in terms of download speed.

Now here is a better one! It is called BitTyrant! Believe it or not, it has been downloaded heavily in the past week because it was digged!

BitTyrant is based on the open source version of Azureus. Quoting them:

"BitTyrant is a new, protocol compatible BitTorrent client that is optimized for fast download performance. BitTyrant is...

  • Fast – During evaluation testing on more than 100 real BitTorrent swarms, BitTyrant provided an average 70% download performance increase when compared to the existing Azureus 2.5 implementation, with some downloads finishing more than three times as quickly.
  • Fair – BitTorrent was designed with incentives in mind: if a user is downloading at 30 KBps, they should upload at 30 KBps. However, due to the unique workload properties of many real-world swarms, this is not always enforced. BitTyrant is designed to make efficient use of your scarce upload bandwidth, rewarding those users whose upload allocations are fair and only allocating excess capacity to other users.
  • Familiar – BitTyrant is based on modifications to Azureus 2.5, currently the most popular BitTorrent client. All of our changes are under the hood. You’ll find the GUI identical to Azureus, with optional additions to display statistics relevant to BitTyrant’s operation.
When I got to know about this new release, I downloaded it, found some torrents and tried it out. To my amazement, it was REAL fast! I can finish a 1.2 GB download within 2 days! How good can it be?

Try it out for yourself. Today's BuzzBadge goes to BitTyrant!

Buzzing Digg Effect

Have you been to Digg.com? Well, I found that site to be a great place for latest news and announcements. Diggers will submit news or press releases to Digg.com and they digg it up if it is good.

Evey submission queues in the 'upcoming' section. If a piece of submission accumulates enough of diggs within 24 hours, it will be promoted to the front page of Digg.com. And 'Digg Effect' kicks in.

There are thousands of users on Digg.com. Digg Effect is famous for its ability to crash servers. I had an experience with it. One of my articles was digged to the front page, and suddenly, visitors started to flood in. Within 15 minutes, my site was down. The server failed to balance the unexpected load.

In that day itself, I had 7,800 unique visitors coming to my site for that article!

In order to assess Digg Effect, many diggers setup news page with sophisticated tracking system to track and analyze the traffic. Here is one of the report:

Enjoy!

Buzzing Legendary Google Phone!

Finally, Google Phone is here!

Google is partnering with Samsung to release "Google Phone". In fact, it is a Samsung phone packed with Google's applications:

Beginning in early 2007, selected Samsung phones will be provided with a range of GoogleTM products and services aimed to create a more dynamic user experience, including:

  • GoogleTM search: Samsung handsets will include a GoogleTM icon in the application menu, providing users with one-click access to GoogleTM search
  • Google MapsTM for mobile: Also featured on Samsung handsets will be Google MapsTM for mobile, an application that enables users to view maps and satellite imagery, find local businesses, and get driving directions when they're on the go
  • GmailTM: GmailTM for mobile devices, a new application that brings more speed, convenience, and functionality to the mobile GmailTM experience, will also be available on Samsung handsets

I am thinking Google is not only a search engine marketing company. It is doing a lot of other ventures including conquering the stars!

BuzzBadge To Textalyser

Search Engine Optimization With Textalyser

Textalyser is a text analyzer tool that can help you improve the keyword density of your blog post for the purpose of search engine optimization.

We know how important it is to apply Search Engine Optimization each of the blog post. The normal Search Engine Optimization guideline is to have one main keyword and many related keywords in a blog post. In addition to that, we have to include the main keyword into the title of the blog post, as well as stating the main keyword as least once in the opening paragraph and closing paragraph. To further enhance the effect and help Google to understand what we are trying to talk about, we should repeat the main keyword a few times within the body of the blog post, as well as using related keywords often enough.

Alright! I will copy and paste the above paragraph into Textalyser and let's see how Textalyser analyzes the above paragraph:

The analysis is long, but this interests me:

2 word phrases frequency :

ExpressionExpression count FrequencyProminence
main keyword43.6%50
blog post43.6%54.5
the main32.7%42
the blog32.7%50.5

as well as21.8%28.2

Looking at the table above alone gives us a hint on what the topic is talking about. It has good density of "search engine", "engine optimization", "search engine optimization", "main keyword", "related keyword"...

When Google's spider comes across this paragraph, it will know that I am talking about search engine optimization for blog. See how easy it is to search engine optimize your own blog post? It gets easier when you can see through the eyes of the spiders!

BuzzBadge to OpenOffice

In my previous post I talked about converting word document to PDF file using PDFonline.com, today, I am going to talk about another way to create PDF file.

What if there is a replacement, not alternative, of Microsoft Office?
OpenOffice nearly takes me away from Microsoft Office! This open source (free) office suite sponsored by Sun Microsystem is actually more useful than MS Office, although it does not look as appealing when it comes to interface design.

The OpenOffice Suite has everything to combat MS Office, including a word processor, spreadsheet application, a database, presentation software and more. I have not tried all of them, but I like OpenOffice Writer.

OpenOffice Writer allows you to save your work in DOC, RTF and even PDF! That is why I like it so much. Whenever you want to have a PDF, just type your content into OpenOffice and save it as PDF. It works much like Google's Document.

Here's another tip:
Whenever you are looking for some softwares, just type in "Open Source [your function]" into Google and do a search. You will almost always come across a piece of open source software that does the job even better than some paid counterparts.

BuzzBadge To Belisi

Have you ever seen a fashion blog with explanations on why this scarf has to be matched with that trousers?

“Belisi unites the luxury and prestige of Palm Beach with Italian beauty and sophistication. Inside Belisi we cultivate a passion for exquisite materials and skilled craftsmanship. Each dramatic detail, represents our unwavering quest to fashion products of truly enduring value.”
– Peter Belisi

It all started off with Peter Belisi, struggling to support his family with no savings, he started his own company which then becomes a well-known brand.

Emulating his high-end clientele, Belisi invested any extra money in a tie collection. Belisi took pride in never wearing the same tie twice, and through his appreciation of fine ties, an idea took shape. It does not take long for co-workers and clients to begin seeking Belisi for inspirations.

"Accessories are the finishing pieces to any well-heeled look—done the right way, you present a polished picture to the world."

Belisi is able to capture the heart of the image conscious. They not only want to fit in among their peers by wearing high-end accessories, they want to give back to society.

The Belisi Brand was founded with the core idea to enhance luxury wardrobes, while making the world a little brighter for everyone.

Belisi—a name established almost synonymous with beauty—has earned a loyal following for its high-end, quality ties, and most recently scarves and handbags.

"Confidence ... The No. 1 trait a woman seeks in a mate."
And how you can magnify it?

A simple visit to Belisi.com surprises me. I immediately bookmarked it. Other than latest fashion and style, it even explains what they mean!

Make Money Blogging?

Make Money Blogging: Do you know you can actually Make Money Blogging?

Blogs are popular now and advertisers love them very well. Last year we have seen advertisers flooding into the blogosphere to help them spread their words. The fact is, blog is a viral marketing paradise. Words can spread so fast on a blog.

When we talk about make money blogging, most would straight away think of Google Adsense. Google Adsense is undoubtedly the best make money blogging device that allows you to make money simply by adding blocks of ads into your blog's template. When someone clicks, you make money, it is that simple. BuzzBadge is also monetized with Google Adsense.

Google Adsense is NOT the only way to make money blogging. People gets extremely creative when it comes to make money. My favorite, of course, is to write blog post for advertisers.

Here are some of the service you might want to check out:

  1. Blogitive
This is really top of my list. I have made $165 working with them. Today I just got BuzzBadge registered and approved by them and immediately, I got 5 tasks to write about.
  2. PayPerPost
This is a multi-million dollar venture that ties bloggers and advertisers together. In order to join PayPerPost, your blog must be at least 3 months old, contain more than 20 blog post, plus some other requirements. Since they enforce the demanding requirements, advertisers love them very much! You can never run out of task to write about. The lowest paying ones are at $4, going up to $10 or even $15 per post!
  3. Blogsvertise
This is a relatively new startup which has recently revamped their website layout. I am with them for over 2 months, but I only get one job from them. Maybe they are more popular now and I should check back more often to secure more jobs. I nearly forgot I have an account with them :p
Of course there are more than the above that I mention, but I am not going to talk about them since they are not popular yet.

Make money blogging is not hard at all. What you need is patience and consistency. You have to keep writing, keep researching and keep sharing your thoughts and voices.

If you would like a BIG print-out of "how to make money blogging", I recommend you to check out the Ultimate Blogging Package, which contains almost everything you need to know to launch a successful blog empire.

BuzzBadge To Blogitive!

Finally, I decide to register BuzzBadge with Blogitive.

Blogitive is an opportunity for bloggers to make money writing blog post for advertisers. Here's how it goes:

When blog first started out, it is only a type of content management that arranges content in a reverse chronological order. This type of arrangement of content make it possible for ordinary individuals to put up an online diary. LiveJournal was the first to capitalize on the trend and introduces web diaries to ordinary people, who has not got a chance or at least, do not know how to put up a website.

Today, blog is a buzz! Everyone seems to have a blog. Many have a few blogs, each focus on an area of their daily lives.

The web has gone 2.0, which means now, people socialize on the internet. It was anonymity, now we are establishing a true identity online. We want people to recognize us and say "hey, that's his blog!" and "look, here's his diary!".

Amazingly, blog has such a power to attract readers, especially loyal ones. Advertisers started to notice the power of blogs as a place to spread words, and they started to contact bloggers and offer them a price to write about their companies.

Here's where Blogitive steps in. Advertisers will contact Blogitive and make an offer. Blogitive will then assign the writing tasks to blogs registered within their service. If the blogger writes about the advertiser, money will be paid.

Since I joined Blogitive 3 months ago, I have made $165 writing post on my other blogs for the advertisers.

However, last month, Blogitive decides to pull off many blogs, especially those hosted for free or the ones that are prone to spam attacks. Unfortunately, all my 3 blogs registered with Blogitive was cancelled. They even pulled off blogs hosted by reputable WordPress.

Luckily, they still allow Blogger's blog to be registered. That's why I decided to register BuzzBadge with them. Immediately after registration, I have 5 tasks, each paying $5.

The previous blog about Disney is one of the task. See how easy it is the make money blogging with Blogitive? There are people making thousands a month working with Blogitive. But they have more than 10 blogs registered with Blogitive, so I guess those are really professional bloggers.

Note: Blogitive does not simply accept blogs. They will actually come and evaluate your blog's potential for the benefit of their advertisers.

52 Theme Parks - Disney!

Holidays! We all love holidays!

The word holidays has never failed to make me think of vacation. You know, you bring along your camera and a bottle of water in your simple backpack and do all your best to make every happy moments permanent.

Now here's a tough question:
How many places in the World have 52 theme parks? Beaches within a short 40 minute drive? And outstanding resorts and vacation homes to stay in for less than most other popular destination places?

It's in Orlando! If you are planning for this year's vacation, why not check out the Disney World packages offered by Orlando Vacation.

Orlando Vacation have more top rated golf courses within a 40 minute drive than anywhere else in Florida. They also have the second largest convention center in the world, and since Disney World is their biggest draw, almost every recreation in Orlando is family friendly.

Orlando is ever changing. You really need to go back every 2 to 3 years to relearn Orlando. With the ever competitive theme park business most all the area theme parks are continuously adding new rides and new attractions as there is stiff competition among all the theme parks These constant upgrades to the area attractions will continue to make Orlando a great destination for the entire family.

So, get your cameras ready!

Taiwan's Quake Shakes BuzzBadge Off

BuzzBadge to Don Petit

If pictures are worth thousands of words, look at this:

Thanks to Don Petit, giving us a chance to understand how a sphere of water behaves in a gravity-free environment.
